Playgroup for 2nd through 4th graders

The LTC Playgroup is designed for children who have difficulty with more advanced social skills.

Curriculum

In the LTC curriculum, your child will learn:

• emotional recognition/regulation
• self-esteem building
• cooperative work and play (3+ children)
• advanced skills for joining groups of children at play
• good sportsmanship
• coping skills/relaxation skills
• anger management/increased frustration tolerance
• improved communication skills (verbal and nonverbal)
• reading social cues

Although it is important for us to teach your child the basic social skills, it is also important that you know how to reinforce those skills at home. Included in the cost of the program are periodic parent education sessions conducted virtually on a variety of social skills topics plus email updates specific to your child's group.

Requirements

• Child age: 2nd through 4th grades
• Intake is required

Schedule

The LTC group meets year round. We have several groups going at one time and each group is formed based on age, developmental level, and social goals. During the intake appointment, we will determine which group is the best fit for your child.
